New Facebook Pages Layout!

Facebook is at it again, making some interesting changes to the Facebook Pages layout.

Here’s the highlights…

1. Cleaner cover photo (Facebook has removed the logo and and title from the cover image)

2. Profile Pic has moved to left-hand column and is slightly bigger (page title is underneath it)

3. Page Tabs are now under the logo

4. Like, Message and Share Buttons have moved underneath the cover image, positioned to the left.

5. Call-to-Action button is larger and to the right

8. The About section is now in the left-hand column

9. Your most important apps appear on the right, with images.

10.  “View Pages Feed” is now in the right column under number of likes.

Facebook is at it Again!

Facebook has recently removed the ability to log in and use Facebook as your Page from your settings.

You can still do the things that were available when using Facebook as your Page, but those features have moved.

You can choose to like, comment or share as a Page you manage from the dropdown menu on every post. You can also visit Pages Feed on the left side of your Page to see and interact with posts from Pages you’ve liked as your Page.

However, it takes a bit of work to ensure that a Facebook page is living up to it’s potential. Following are some of the top tips to increase the effectiveness of you Facebook page:

Use Your Call to Action Button

The call to action button, introduced in 2014, is perhaps one of the best marketing features ever introduced by Facebook. This feature allows businesses to link the call to action button on their Facebook page with their website. This is helpful as businesses are given the opportunity to market specific areas (landing pages) of their websites directly from their Facebook page.

To use it you simply click on the button at the top of the business’s Facebook page. After you click on it you can give it a call to action label then link it to the URL of your site. It’s as simple as that.

For extra impact use your cover photo to prompt users to click on the CTA button.

Share Content at the Right Time

Your business might be sharing the correct information but are you doing so at the right time? This is very important. Statistics show that most of Facebook users use Facebook during lunch time and late in the evening. This is due to the fact that during the day most people are busy with work and school until lunch time where they have a break to catch up on social matters. They then get busy again until the evening hours where they catch up on social matters again. Try to schedule posts (hit the down arrow beside the publish button to use Facebooks handy schedule feature) during times when most people would see them.

Use Targeted Advertisement

The main aim of an advertisement is not always to have as many people as possible view it. You want the right people to view it. It has been shown that advertisements tailor made for a particular demographic/geographic setting are more effective.

Facebook allows businesses to create targeted ads that appear in the news feeds of a specific demographic/geographic group. Paying close attention to your ad targeting can let you reach the people who will benefit most from seeing your ad.
